What happened to the passengers of Titanic? The ship hit an iceberg in the middle of the night. As there weren't enough life boats, lots of passengers jumped into the icy water. The cold slowly cools down the body and its essential systems. The different functions of the body stop working.

Our body should maintain a constant internal environment to live. Under normal circumstances our body can maintain constant temperature and pressure inside. But when we are subject to extreme circumstances (for example very cold or very hot) our inner systems can't maintain a stable environment, and our body stops functioning.

This lesson will tell you how the major systems work.
