Lesson Preview
In previous lessons we discussed how to prepare and write from the perspective of your content—what you are trying to say. You learned how to choose and research a topic, and how to write an outline. You learned how to use details to support your main point.
Now we are going to look at how to use the tools of language to make sure that
your writing is clear, accurate, and easy to understand. To do this, you’ll
need to use correct sentence structure and proper punctuation. You’ll need to
choose the best words to convey your message.
This lesson is an important tool in the writing process. It explains how to
translate the collected information into well-written sentences. It also
provides help in the areas you might need improvement.
