Muslim Life and Culture
For 400 years, the Islamic empire ruled much of the known world. No other culture of that time could compare to the Muslim culture. This period, from the mid-800s until 1256--when Baghdad was destroyed--is known as the Golden Age of Islam. Muslim scientists and mathematicians accomplished many great things during this time that serve as the basis for much of modern math and science.
