You may reading this because you've decided to homeschool your children, or are considering supplementing what they learn at school, and are wondering how eTAP can help. One of the best things about eTAP is that we're flexible, so exactly how you use our program is up to you, but we'll go over some of our features to help get you started.

First is our curriculum. We cover grades Kindergarten through 12, with courses for Mathematics, Language Arts/English, Science, and Social Studies. For high school, the math subjects provided are Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics, and the science subjects are Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Evironmental Science. These courses are aligned to several national and state curriculum standards, since many states do require homeschooled students to take standardized tests. However, we don't have any prerequisites for any course - you and your students can decide which subjects and grade level they study, and when.

Each course has an assessment exam that can be taken any time. This exam doesn't count towards scores, but is a good way to identify lessons that need to be reviewed or to decide what grade level to start with. It's also a good practice test for a final exam.

All our lessons come with tests, which are graded by the program, and the results are viewable at any time. There's a progress report for each student, so you have a quick way to monitor which courses they're studying and how they're doing. When they finish their courses, there's a transcript that will offer a letter grade and final score, which you may print out for your records.

All those features help save time, so you don't have to develop your own lesson plans, grade papers, or calculate grades, but for parents who are willing to spend some extra time and want more control over the courses, we have a really cool option. You can request that your account be
upgraded to a teacher account, and customize any lesson you want. That includes the lesson content itself and the tests, and there's no extra cost for this feature.

Our goal at eTAP is to help every student succeed academically. We know that not all kids learn the same way, so we have some features to help. There's a "reader bar" that will help keep track of what line you're reading, and our FAQ includes some text-to-speech solutions for audio learners. Lessons include links to other resources like videos, games, and worksheets to give students different approaches to learning the topics and to help make learning fun.
