Quartiles, Deciles, and Percentiles
Some times we look for the position of each data entry or a group of data entries in a set to describe the features of a data set. Such observations provide us with some measures that are called positions of the entries. These are in fact measures of noncentral positions of the data entries. Among such measures are quartiles and percentiles.
