Graphing Equations
In algebra, we learned how to graph a function in a rectangular plane. In this lesson, we will focus on sketching a function in a polar plane. To do so, we must first to learn how to convert a function from rectangular to polar form by following these steps:
- Replace x and y by r (cos a) and r (sin a).
- Simplify the function and combine like terms, if necessary.
