Up to this point, we have learned the basic rules, formulas, and procedures of trigonometry. We now turn our attention to some fundamental applications and calculations of trigonometry in real life problems.
In many situations, due to physical conditions, measuring the heights of objects is not directly possible. For example, measuring the height of a long tree, height of a tall building, or the height of a tall tower directly is not an easy task in most situations. In such problems, the principles of trigonometry provide us with techniques that can make our task very simple and less difficult. The example below could be a typical sample of using trigonometric functions in measuring heights.
