We've been talking about how supply and demand affect buyers and sellers. The amount of goods buyers and sellers are willing to exchange changes as the price changes. However, people are not always able to do what they want to do. You may be willing and able to buy a portable music player for $40, but since not many sellers are willing to sell one at that price, you are not as likely to be able to buy it.
