How Visual Image Makers Present the Same Events

In previous lessons, we've talked about how media practitioners manipulate information to make it communicate what they want it to. Up 'till now, we've been talking mostly about words-about how using different words can impart different meanings to the same product, person, object or event.

Today's lesson is about images, and how images can be manipulated to mean different things. This might be an even more important lesson than the one about words, since seeing is more basic. Seeing comes before words--a child can look at and recognize things long before he or she begins to speak.
