Write Historical Investigation Reports

In order to be a successful investigative reporter, you have to be a good detective. Investigative reporters spend countless hours looking for the truth about a subject. They don't settle for anything less than the facts. Then they make sure to fairly and accurately convey these findings in their reports. Often an investigative reporter will delve into historical events—who really killed John F. Kennedy? Were aliens really seen near Area 51? A report on one of these subjects would be a historical investigative report.

You will probably be required to write a historical investigative report for school. In order to get started, you'll need to choose a topic. Of course, you should choose something that fascinates you, a mysterious event that you are curious about. After you have selected the topic, you will need to prewrite.
