Many People, One Nation (Grade 3)

On the Fourth of July, there is a parade in this town. 

Some people get to be in the parade. There are kids and grownups. Some ride on bikes. Others march. A band plays music, and all the people wave their flags.

Shop owners come out of their shops to watch the parade. Everyone is having a great time!

This parade is happening in a community. A community is a place where people live, work, and play.
